At the age of 20, I was diagnosed with a chronic bowel disease – Ulcerative Colitis.
I was told by my doctors I would have to take medications for life, and there is nothing I could do – and for nearly a decade, that was my reality.
But at some point, I just had enough.
I realized that something was missing.
Not in the medical explanation – but in my own role in the story. I was stuck in the diagnosis, not in the question of how I live inside this body.
It came to me that no one would teach me
